Introduction: The Ark and the Power of Honour

📖 2 Samuel 6:11

“The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-Edom… three months, and the Lord blessed Obed-Edom and all his household.”

Key Question:

Why did the Ark bring:

  • Judgement in one place
  • Blessing in another?

Answer:

👉 Honour

  • The Philistines dishonoured it → destruction
  • Obed-Edom honoured it → blessing

Prophetic Insight:

👉 Honour determines manifestation

Declaration:

  • Within three months, there will be a turnaround
  • Your testimonies will be evident

Revelation: You Are a Carrier of God’s Presence

  • In the Old Testament → God dwelt in the Ark
  • In the New Testament → God dwells in YOU

📖 The veil was torn → access was granted

👉 You are now:

  • A carrier of God’s presence
  • A mobile ark

Implication:

👉 When you honour His presence within you:

  • There must be transformation
  • There must be blessing
  • There must be results

Definition of Honour

👉 Honour means:

  • Value
  • Respect
  • Recognition of worth

Key Principle

👉 Honour is linked to longevity

  • It preserves life
  • It sustains blessings
  • It establishes legacy

Examples of Honour

1. David (Honour for Authority)

  • Refused to kill Saul
  • Honoured God’s anointed

👉 Result:

  • Long life
  • Stable reign
  • Preserved legacy

2. Mary Magdalene (Honour for Jesus)

📖 Mark 14:3–9

  • Gave her best to Jesus

👉 Result:

  • Her story is remembered for generations

Main Teaching: Who Must We Honour?

1. Honour God

📖 Malachi 1:6

“If I am a father, where is my honour?”

Ways to Honour God:

  • With your substance
  • With your service

Example: Solomon

  • Honoured God → God visited him
  • Received wisdom and abundance

2. Honour Your Parents

📖 Ephesians 6:1–3

👉 The first commandment with a promise

Result:

  • Long life
  • Prosperity

Balance:

  • Parents should lead well
  • Children should honour regardless

3. Honour Your Pastor

📖 Jeremiah 3:15

“I will give you pastors according to my heart…”

Insight:

  • Your pastor is God-appointed

Result of Honour:

  • Spiritual growth
  • Guidance
  • Blessing

4. Honour Authority

📖 1 Peter 2:13–17

👉 Honouring authority = Honouring God

Warning:

  • Dishonour towards authority affects your walk with God

5. Honour Those Ahead of You

👉 Anyone who has gone before you deserves honour

Example: Ruth

  • Honoured Naomi

👉 Result:

  • Became part of Christ’s lineage

6. Honour the Gifts You Desire

📖 Acts 19:11–16 (Sons of Sceva)

Lesson:

  • You cannot access what you do not honour

👉 Result of dishonour:

  • Failure and embarrassment

Principle:

👉 What you honour → you attract
👉 What you dishonour → you repel

7. Honour Greatness

👉 If you desire greatness:

  • Respect it
  • Celebrate it

Warning:

  • Criticism blocks access
  • Honour opens doors

8. Honour One Another

📖 1 Peter 3:8–9

“Do not repay evil with evil…”

Instruction:

  • Be compassionate
  • Be courteous
  • Walk in love

Higher Principle:

👉 When wronged → respond with blessing

Result:

  • You inherit a blessing

Critical Warning

📖 1 Peter 3:7

“…that your prayers be not hindered”

👉 Dishonour can hinder prayers

Spiritual Laws of Honour

  1. Honour preserves destiny
  2. Honour attracts favour
  3. Honour activates blessing
  4. Honour sustains legacy

Three Ways Doors Open

  1. By key (access)
  2. By relationship (honour)
  3. By force (dangerous and unsustainable)

👉 The safest way = Honour + Relationship

Final Declarations

  • Your life will be preserved
  • Your prayers will be answered
  • Doors will open for you
  • Your legacy will stand

👉 Honour will work for you

Call to Reflection

Ask yourself:

  • Have I dishonoured God?
  • Have I dishonoured people?
  • Have I dishonoured authority?

Closing Prayer

Father,
Help me to honour You and others rightly.

  • Restore every area of dishonour
  • Let honour open doors for me
  • Let honour establish my destiny

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
